Mountain paradise Silvaplana

The Engadin hiking trails comprise around 500 kilometers of marked paths. They lead along the lakes, follow the "Via Engiadina" or go into the side valleys. The versatility of the mountain spring makes Silvaplana and the local mountain Corvatsch a popular hiking region. Ambitious mountaineers will find challenging routes to Piz Surlej or Piz Julier. Families are best advised to follow the "Marmottins" to the most beautiful viewpoints around Silvaplana.

Silvaplana Explorer

The "Silvaplana Explorer" hiking map is ideal for families and takes you on great circular hikes to the most beautiful viewpoints in Silvaplana: Fratta, Ova dal Sagl, Murtèl, Crap Alv, Crest'Alta and Tschüchas. You can download the Silvaplana Explorer Map here or obtain it from the guest information desk in the i-Lounge 3303 at Via dal Farrer 2.

At each viewpoint, you can scan a QR code on the viewing board. This gives you access to Niculin's story. The marmot from the former Silvaplana marmot colony tells how it woke up alone after hibernation and wants to find its colony again.
