The largest open-air curling tournament in the world brings curlers from all over Switzerland to Silvaplana every year.
It all began in 1969 with the idea of livening up the quiet January period. After just five years, the tournament grew from 16 to 32 teams. By the 15th edition, there were 60 teams, which made it necessary to adapt the ice rink. The tournament has been held at the Mulets sports center since 1986. Since 2004, the Coppa Romana has always been fully booked with 76 teams, and the waiting list continues to grow!
