What could be better than listening to the silence early in the morning—whether on a boat or on land—and enjoying the calm of the water and the connection with nature? From May 1 through September 30, the Upper Engadine lakes are open for boat fishing. The native fish species include grayling, brown trout, brook trout, and Namaycush. The Engadine is particularly well-known for its beautifully colored brown trout and brook trout.
Fishing from a boat is permitted on Lake Silvaplana. You can obtain the required fishing license online from the Silvaplana municipal administration. Fishing is permitted along the shores and in the rivers of the Upper Engadine from May 1 through September 30.
