Trail Running

The Engadine hiking trails cover about 500 kilometers of marked paths. They lead along the lakes, follow the "Via Engiadina" or go into the adjacent valleys. The variety of different routes makes Silvaplana and the local mountain Corvatsch a popular trail running region. Ambitious mountain athletes will find challenging routes up to Piz Surlej or Piz Julier. If you want to discover the most beautiful viewpoints while trail running, it is best to follow the Silvaplana Explorer-Map
Jogging to the mountain lakes
The Upper Engadine is known for its many mountain lakes. A trail running session along the lakes is a locals' favorite and should be explored.
- Lej da la Tscheppa From Silvaplana up to the mountain lake beauty at 2,600 meters
- Hahnensee Scenic route to Lej dals Chöds

Racing to the most beautiful viewpoints
The hiking map "Silvaplana Explorer" is not only ideal for families with children, but also for trail runners! With Silvaplana's hiking map you can discover the most beautiful viewpoints in Silvaplana while jogging: Fratta, Ova dal Sagl, Murtèl, Crap Alv, Crest'Alta and Tschüchas.
You can download the Silvaplana Explorer-Map here or get it at the guest information in the i-Lounge 3303 at Via dal Farrer 2.
Orienteering on the Corvatsch
At more than 2000 meters above sea level an orienteering checkpoints network is set up every summer on the Corvatsch. From the beginning of July to the end of August the 15 checkpoints can be run with the help of the orienteering map. The orienteering map is available at the valley station Corvatsch for CHF 5. Those who want to compete in an orienteering race can take part in an orienteering race organized by the CO Engiadina.

Explore panoramic trails
The panoramic trail above Lake Silvaplana is one of the most beautiful trail running routes in the entire Upper Engadine. From the Corvatsch mid station Murtèl it goes along the lake plateau to Prugnieu, on to Alp Prasüra and down to Sils. Here you can find the detailed trail plan with all important data.
