Fishing in Silvaplana

Lake Silvaplana offers both crystal clear and cloudy glacial milk waters abundant with fish - an absolute fishing paradise. The Upper Engadin lakes are open for boat fishing from May 15th until October 15th.

Obtain a fishing permit

Fishing by boat is permitted on Lake Silvaplana. You can obtain a fishing permit online at the Department of Hunting and Fishing or at the municipal police. You need a valid ID as well as the SaNa certificate.

A special permit is required for fishing from the lake shore and rivers of the Upper Engadin, from May 1st to September 15th. You can acquire the permit here.
